BLOOM, WORTH THE WAIT

Rhyncholelia digbiana (Rhyncholaelia digbyana) came to our house eight years ago. The delenka was initially quite large, and I hoped, that flowering will come quickly. However, the years passed, and instead of “shaggy” flowers I saw only new growths.

WANTED APPROACH

I tried growing an orchid on different windowsills, dry for a long time. Last year I got desperate and put it up for sale. Asked for a high price, because in my heart I didn’t want to part with the plant. And what was my joy, when I noticed an unusually thick growth. I shined a flashlight through it and found a case with a silhouette of buds! Don't know, what exactly prompted the whim to take this step, maybe just tired of my clumsy attempts to woo.

RHINHOLELIA MAGIC FLOWER

The flowering turned out to be not just beautiful, but magical. The soft fibers of the petals create a feeling, that the orchid seems to hug its observers. There is a slight sweetness throughout the house, mixed with lemon. But not that sour one, what makes you grimace, it’s like citrus is immersed in a bath of sweet mood.

The aroma is like an echo of a warm summer day, when the lemons ripen in the sun, and the rhubarb adds a unique touch.

And it's not just a smell, but a real journey through the garden of fruit fantasies, where is every fragrant note, like a gentle chord in the music of nature. And then I understand: such a result is worth eight years of patience and waiting!
