A few years ago, a new addition appeared in my floral collection.. Grows as hanging and climbing species. Over the years it has never bloomed. Stands in the shade and develops normally. Help, you are welcome, identify a stranger.

According to the shape of the leaves, their venation and location, the presence of spine plates in the sinuses (may appear with age) - this is Pereskia spinosa (Pereskia aculeata) family Cactaceae.

Viable semi-evergreen or deciduous succulent vine growing up to 8-10m. Blooms in autumn, however, in room conditions - extremely rarely. But in greenhouses the plant fully develops and in adulthood pleases with flowers.

Location: bright sunny, especially in winter. When grown in a greenhouse in hot weather, shading may be necessary..

Temperature: moderate, in winter - + 15-18 city, (tolerates well up to +5). Pereskia is demanding of fresh air, therefore, on hot days the room is ventilated.

From the end of summer, watering is reduced, and from mid-autumn to spring they sharply limit (moisturize occasionally and little by little), in spring and summer - after the top layer of soil has dried, preferably warm water. The plant does not need spraying.

Young specimens are replanted annually in the spring., adults - as needed. The new pot should be slightly larger than the previous one. Substrate: sod land, leafy, humus, peat, coarse river sand (1:0, 5:1:1:2).
