Our inaguensis is outwardly unremarkable - it does not stand out for its beautiful flowering or attractive leaf appearance.. The main advantage of this rarity is an unusual exotic aroma.. In the cold season I keep it in the house, and in the summer I take it to the garden.

The plant contains a lot of essential oil, especially during flowering. It accumulates in special formations, which can be seen on the surface of the sheet (similar, only much larger ones are visible in orange peel). The released aroma is unusually delicate and multifaceted.. Combines scents of jasmine, pineapple and citrus, vanilla and honey.

REFERENCE

Our homeland is considered to be the island of Little Inagua - the southernmost of the Bahamas., where the mild subtropical climate, and average monthly temperatures are not lower +20 city. Recently, it is rarely found in nature.. Belongs to the Verbena family. It is a small evergreen shrub about 30 cm, with a highly branched crown. Small flowers, cream or white, very fragrant, collected in inflorescences 5-10 pieces. Blooms in August.

OUR INAGUENSIS – CARE

No need to plant ours in a large container. My two-year-old bush grows successfully in a pot of just over 1 l.

The plant loves bright sun and warmth., even in winter it is undesirable, so that the temperature drops below +15-18 city., and at +5 may die.

The soil is loose and fertile. It must always be wet. (in winter - slightly). It is important not to dry out, otherwise the plant may die. Also fatal in autumn and winter is a wet cold earthen lump., so keep an eye on its temperature. It is better to put the flower pot in a warm place or a foam box.

Feed twice a month in the summer, alternating mineral fertilizers with organic. In winter, one time is enough - infusion of manure (1:10).

No additional lighting.

You can form a crown in the form of a small bonsai-style bush. The plant tolerates a haircut well..
