DIPLEMENTATIONS FROM LAYERS

What a surprise awaited me by the end of this year - diplomacy took root!

After several unsuccessful attempts, I again decided to breed my pet in October.

I poured perlite into a disposable transparent cup and moistened it well.. Then, not cut off from the mother plant, slightly deepened the shoot into it - a fragment with leaves, where was a hint of aerial roots.

Caution, not to break, pinned with a bent wire and sprinkled this place with perlite.

The glass was installed between other shoots of the liana. Now my task was not to dry out the substrate. I checked the perlite with my finger every 2 days. Moisturize if needed.

Roots appeared two weeks later.. When they grew up a little, separated the shoot from the main plant and transplanted into peat soil, covered with a bag for a couple of days.

GROWING DIPLADENIA IN HOME CONDITIONS – LANDING AND CARE, TIPS AND FEEDBACK

DIPLEMENTATION LIGHTS "STARS"

Diplosion is rightfully considered the queen of flowering vines.. Tropical beauty with glossy dark green foliage and slightly curled, like the wings of a windmill, 5 petals of large bright and fragrant flowers captivates with its splendor. Unfortunately, in our latitudes, it can only be grown indoors. The status of an exotic plant suggests the complexity of care. However, if you follow some rules, Tropikanka will successfully take root in the house and will regularly delight with white, pink or purple flowers and stars, like hello from the brazilian carnival.

Diploidy needs bright sunlight the most. She is not just warm-hearted, Liana loves high temperatures (21-25°). But the plant also has a winter dormant period., when the air should be pretty cool (10-150), and watering – minimal.

The best time to plant and transplant a plant – February March, at the end of the stagnation period. Optimal soil – a ready-made substrate for indoor azaleas with a slightly acidic reaction or a nutritious loose mixture of soddy soil, fishing line, leaf soil and humus (2:1:1:1). Capacity for landing I choose a spacious, drainage layer must be at least 5 cm, since excess moisture is unacceptable. And of course, Liana needs a reliable support – frame, stand, wallpaper.

Latin American sissy vital high humidity: in summer I spray in the morning and in the evening. I water the vine with exceptionally soft settled water at room temperature. After every 5th watering, I advise you to slightly acidify the water., adding on 1 l 10 drops of lemon juice.

For healthy growth, lush foliage and regular blooming of diplatia every 2-3 weeks I apply complex fertilizer for decorative flowering plants or nitrogen-containing top dressing. For healthy growth, lush foliage and regular blooming of diplatia every 2-3 weeks I apply complex fertilizer for decorative flowering plants or nitrogen-containing top dressing. With the advent of the first buds, I switch to phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. From October to January there is no need for additional nutrition.

From warm spring days, it is useful for a Tropican to arrange sunbathing in the open air., and if in the summer you move the pot to the terrace, balcony or garden, the plant will bloom even more abundantly and more beautifully (the main thing, protect diplomacy from drafts and heavy rainfall).

Dillodenia sap is very poisonous! Wear gloves when working with the plant and keep small children away from it.

I pinch young seedlings for greater splendor. But the liana can grow to disgrace, therefore, in autumn or early spring, I remove weak and elongated unbranched stems, leaving 1 /3 length 3-5 the strongest and youngest. Without pruning, flowering can not wait at all, since buds are formed only on new shoots of the current year. You should also regularly remove any damaged or dead leaves and monitor, have pests appeared? (mealybug, spider mite, whitefly). For prevention, maintain high humidity, and when insects are found, I wash them off the leaves with a strong stream of water and then treat the plant with soapy water. Since the flower is vulnerable to root nematodes, with an annual transplant, be sure to sterilize the substrate.

Propagating an exotic charmer is quite simple.: young apical cuttings 10 cm, chopped in spring or summer, well rooted in peat under a hood at a temperature of 25 °, and through 2-3 months they can be planted.

SIGNS OF INCORRECT CARE FOR DIPPLEMENTS

Leaves are curling, flowers fall too dry air.

The leaves turn yellow and fall off the hypothermia of the plant.

Foliage turns pale, flowers are small and fade quickly – lack of light.

Weak growth – lack of fertilizer.
