Once I bought a cutting of this beauty and planted it in a small pot. Then all of a sudden it stopped growing., and the leaves began to turn yellow. When I pulled the plant out of the flowerpot, it turned out, that the entire volume was occupied by the same roots.

During the year, the seedling was transshipped four times, gradually increasing the size of the container. A tree has grown, and taking an even bigger pot did not allow the place.

In winter there was nowhere to put, as many other plants move to the windowsills.

I had to part with the flower, planting a cutting from it (by the way, Tabernemontana forms excellent roots in water, and in peat). However, in a few years the tree grew again.

And then I read the advice of one grower.

He cuts the roots of large specimens in half.

What I did last year. This spring, I again shortened the root system and planted the plant in a fresh substrate.: peat, sheet soil and perlite (2:1:1).
