GROWING A SYNGONIUM IN HOME CONDITIONS
Riot of colors and ease of care. These qualities make the syngonium one of the most popular decorative foliage plants on our windowsills..
SECRETS OF GROWING
Content temperature
Comfortable for him - +18-25 city. In winter, the coast from cold drafts. Especially, when the root ball is wet. I put a thick block of polystyrene on the windowsill under the pot with the plant (smooths out temperature fluctuations)
LIGHTING FOR SYNGONIUM
To reveal all the beauty of the leaves, need a bright diffused light. I allow direct sun exposure only from mid-autumn to mid-spring. I definitely shade in the summer
IRRIGATION OF THE SYNGONIUM
Drying the soil surface: in the summer - on 1 cm, in winter - on 2-3 cm. It is better to dry it a little., what to pour
AIR HUMIDITY
Syngonium loves high humidity (60-70%), but tolerates dry air. At temperatures above +25 city, bathing the plant in the shower, covering the ground. The rest of the time it stands next to the humidifier.
SYNGONIUM FEEDING
From March to September - with a complex mineral fertilizer for decorative leafy species in full concentration on moist soil. I do not feed in winter, in order not to get out of a state of rest and not to provoke an ugly increase, which, even under additional lighting, does not cause delight - the leaves are small and faded
SUBSTRATE
I mix 3 parts of any universal soil and 1 part of vermiculite. Syngonium easily tolerates root manipulation, even with cleaning from the previous substrate, and transshipment - even more so. I transfer my collection to fresh soil and large pots annually. I definitely put drainage on the bottom
REPRODUCTION OF THE SYNGONIUM
I cut syngonium from early spring to mid-autumn. I put the shoots in the water, adding activated carbon. I do not use rooting stimulants. When appear 3-4 root length along 3 cm, I plant it in the substrate
DISEASES AND PESTS
Prevention in the form of a shower and high air humidity helps well against spider mites.. Thrips and whitefly are excellent at eliminating systemic insecticides, eg, "Aktara": 1, 4 d on 1, 5 l of water - 3 processing at weekly intervals
SINGONIUM – GROWING IN HOME CONDITIONS, LANDING AND CARE. TIPS AND FEEDBACK
WHEN SYNGONIUM IS TO TASTE EVERYTHING
Syngonium lives in my house for two years. It grew from scraps of stalks of an old vine with several aerial roots. Planting cuttings as long as a finger in a pot of moist soil, lightly sprinkled with sand and put on the western windowsill, in the shade of other plants. After a while, the aerial roots and buds started to grow.
Watered the plant abundantly, sprinkled with warm water in the morning and in the evening. By the fall, the syngonium has turned into a small charming bush.. With the onset of cold weather, growth slowed down, however, young leaves appeared throughout the winter.
In March, she transplanted the plant into a substrate of leafy soil, humus, peat and sand (1:1:1:1), sprinkling vermiculite on the bottom of the pot, put a coconut-wrapped support in the center. Lightly watered and sent to the shade for several days.
The plant loves moist air, therefore, at any time of the year I put a container of water next to the pot, I often spray in summer. 2-3 once a month I bathe under a warm shower or remove dust from the leaves with a soft damp sponge.
Syngonium quickly began to develop. The longest shoots were tied to a stick with woolen threads. Cut off the tops of some stems, and the resulting cuttings, rooting in water, planted in a pot to the mother plant. So the bush became even more magnificent, branched out, a mass of young bright green foliage with a beautiful pattern appeared.
I just had to find a suitable place for him: on the window from the direct sun, the leaves turned pale, dried up around the edges, in the back of the room - they stretched out and lost their variegation, turning dark green. And here is the place on the bedside table by the TV, a meter from the tulle-closed eastern window, the handsome man liked it. And in the summer, and it's light here in winter, warmly, no drafts and temperature drops.

GET TO KNOW: SYNGONIUMS – "CONFETTI"!
Syngoniums deservedly take pride of place in flower collections. And today I present to your attention the wonderful Syngonium Confetti - a picky variety in content. The main thing is to provide him with stable and bright lighting..
THERE ARE DIFFERENCES
Among the flower growers around – confetti goes a lot of controversy. Conditionally allocate: standard grade (S. Confetti). Tricolor (S. tricolor Confetti) and Milk (S. milk Confetti). According to the latest data, not to be separated, and consider only a variation of color, which depends on the conditions of maintenance and lighting. For me personally, there is still a difference between ordinary and Milk: both have juvenile leaves of delicate milky color with pink patches, but the standard variety becomes greener and darker as the leaf matures, and Milk retains snow-whiteness and a strong contrast of white-pink. Also, representatives of the latter may differ from each other depending on the conditions of detention and the country of origin of the mother liquor..
SOME TIPS
If your handsome man began to lose his varietal color, try replacing natural light with a special fitolamp.
Do not let the plant grow and stretch, don't be afraid to cut and re-root it. Thus, you can achieve an increase in the sheet and maintain an aesthetic appearance., and often a return to the varietal color.
The soil must be loose, easily pass moisture and provide roots with oxygen. Do not use greasy substrate.
Choose a tight pot for planting.

SYNGONIUM CONFETTI – A START
Syngonium Confetti bought in the form of a cutting quite by accident from a flower grower neighbor. I put it in the water at home, dipped in "Kornevin". Roots quickly formed in the internodes. I planted the stalk in universal soil for indoor flowers and began to observe.
The plant receives bright diffused lighting. In the period of short daylight hours, I illuminate with 19 to 23 hours.
I water when the substrate dries out..
I feed from spring to autumn 1-2 once a month with complex fertilizer for ornamental leaf species.
Signonium loves high humidity, so in the summer I spray it morning and evening, bathe in a warm shower.
Now I dream of collecting a collection of syngoniums, started with "confetti".
