Home flower care in November
When autumn comes, water the plants moderately and preferably in the morning., so that there is a whole day ahead for assimilation of moisture. Do not overmoisten the substrate, otherwise the risk of root decay increases. Be sure to drain the excess from the pallet. Cultures hibernating in the cool (lantana, brugmansia, figs, laurel, oleander, date palm, boo-henville, citrus, passionflower) water occasionally with water at room temperature.
Inspect pets periodically for pests. Use yellow traps. If parasites appear, treat plants outside the dwelling. (on the balcony, veranda), eg, from spider mites - "Fitoverm", from aphids - "Inta-Virom". Then bring into the house, wrapped for a few days in a package or sack (large specimens).
Maintain air humidity, including indoor fountains, which can be done one at a time – or a two-circuit system from a tank, pump and substrate for hydroculture. Spray plants from a spray bottle with settled water (except for species with pubescent leaves: senpolii, ginur, etc.; for flowering, it is better to irrigate the space around).
Long thin shoots, stretched out from lack of light, cut. Sprinkle the slices with charcoal or cover with brilliant green. If the tips of the leaves turn brown from dry air, trim them, leaving a narrow strip to living tissue.
Zamioculcas, ensure the temperature of the content is not lower than +14 city. Water 1 – 2 once a month, avoiding waterlogging (good drainage is required), however, the potting medium must not be dry. The plant tolerates dry air well, but better, when the humidifier works in late autumn. Just put it away from the zamiokulkas.
To hippeastrum bloom for the New Year holidays, do not delay planting bulbs: bury half, removing dead roots. When the flower arrow is fully out, move the pot to cool (+16 city.) bright place. Water in moderation.
