Transplanted a newbie immediately after purchase (in winter!) from a five centimeter pot into a container, in which he is in the photo. The root system was good, so I just passed the earthy coma without destroying it. The cactus didn't even notice. true, did not bloom in summer. Over the year, it has grown in diameter by 1 cm.
Watering the plant, focusing on the weight of the flowerpot: when it gets light, I spill the soil until water appears from below. In the summer, in the heat, it turns out every other day, in cool weather - once a week, in late autumn and winter - once a month and little by little.

Echinopsis is very responsive to care, retains a rounded shape and does not stretch, although I cannot provide him with a cold winter. Stands on an east-facing window. Epidermis - clean, beautiful, nice green color.

This spring, the cactus bloomed. The bud has been developing for a long time, about a month, and then a flower tube stretched out in a few days, and within one night a flower of stunning beauty was revealed (read somewhere: "Opens up so quickly, what is heard, how petals rustle ") diameter 10 cm, with a strong delicate scent of perfume. In the morning I moved the plant to a dark place, but still at three o'clock in the afternoon he wilted. This is a feature of all night cacti..

Almost immediately after the first flowering, two new buds appeared.. They are at Echinopsis, areola covered with white fluff, interesting too: "Dressed" in brown-black soft and long hair. With the beginning of budding, I fed the plant with Bona Forte for Cactus fertilizer with a red cap. Pampered in the middle of summer.
