Butcher's sprig (ruskusa) with a few red berries brought from a holiday in the south, where this evergreen subtropical plant with leathery leaves grows outdoors. I decided, that the culture is quite suitable for indoor growing. And I was not mistaken!

CONTINUOUS PLUSES

Butcher turned out to be shade-tolerant, grows in any lighting mode, but without direct sunlight. Loyal to dry air. Undemanding to soil. The plant has fungicidal properties. In addition, it is very decorative!

RUSKUS FROM CHERENKOV

One branch produced two cuttings about 10 cm.

Powdered the lower oblique sections with a root former and put them in a glass of water. A month later, roots appeared. Planted shoots in a light soil mixture.

Over time, one looked completely stunted, but the other one was cheerful, green, true, no visible gains. So they stood all winter unchanged. I chose a bright place for them, but without direct sun. Watered infrequently, preventing the topsoil from drying out. Sometimes I had a warm shower.

Live-bearing plants – Buttock sublingual, Kalanchoe officinalis, phalaenopsis

RUSSIAN: CARE

With the arrival of warm spring days, I put a weak stalk in a pot under the shade of a walnut, another - planted in open ground, trying not to damage young fragile shoots, coming from the rhizome.

From spring to mid-summer, she fed both plants 2 once a month with complex mineral fertilizer (according to instructions).

I often watered in the heat, without stagnant water. Over the summer, the bushes have grown, but not so much, as i expected, but I really wanted to have my own unusual twigs for decorating bouquets. By the way, butcher in a pot now looks more elegant and fresher.

She was not very comfortable under the scorching sun. One of these days I will again transfer the plants to the house for wintering on the veranda at +12-13 city.
