EASY MAINTENANCE
Episode lighting needs good, but without direct sunlight. I have a pot with a plant on a shelf in a room with an east window.
Comfortable temperature for a beauty - + 18-25 city. I water it moderately, without overdrying and stagnant water in the pan.
Adult specimens are not demanding on air humidity, but children need increased. Therefore, at the beginning of growth, it is better to keep them in a greenhouse..
Like many Gesneriaceae, episode grows well in small pots. She needs drainage and is loose enough, but not very nutritious soil.
Cultivating an episode
I feed the plant once every 3-4 months of fertilization for flowering species, give less concentration.
Episode cuttings take root easily. The flower can be propagated by rosettes, formed on the lateral mustache. I bury them, without separating from the bush.

Many varieties bloom only towards the end of the first year of life., and some - only for the second. Provide diffused bright light for successful flowering, remove excess mustache. Dry buds do not need to be torn off, this does not affect the intensity of flowering. Prune long shoots regularly. I did not rejuvenate one of my copies with rosettes for several years. In late autumn, I just cut the branches, leaving hemp 5-7 cm. As a result, I got a powerful root system, which every season gave out strong shoots with beautiful leaves.

Do not get carried away with "homemade" feeding - a common cause of disease. Better use a complex organo-mineral preparation (according to instructions).
