NOLINA AND THE PROBLEMS WITH HER CARE IN HOME CONDITIONS

I got nolina in a deplorable state: light strokes on the leaves, soft areas on caudex. Is there a chance to save her?

Strokes on nolina leaves
These are traces of thrips. The insect is hard to find, but with severe damage, excrement can be found - easily removable blackheads. Need to treat the plant with contact-intestinal insecticides ("Aktara", Calypso, Oberon, "Confidor") 2-3 times with an interval 7-10 days. Leaves cannot be returned to their decorative appearance, but you can't cut them, they feed the plant.
Soft areas on caudex
Check the roots. If they are healthy, do not repot the plant, but deal with the processing of the problem area. Scrub down to healthy tissue. There should be no dark spots and specks. Sprinkle the wound with "Fundazol" or HOM and do not wet this place.
Root and caudex nolina rot
Remove the plant from the pot, clear the bottom of the caudex from the soil and see, peeling off the bark, whether there are cracks or other signs of illness. If rot affects most of the roots and caudex, it remains only to cut off the crown and root.
Rusty stains on the leaves, pale on top, withering away of old
These are signs of overflow. Watering nolina after the soil dries to the very bottom, abundantly, while providing good lighting. The caudex of the plant contains a considerable amount of moisture.
Rotting off shoots of nolina
Usually observed after winter waterlogging, when the roots stop absorbing water and nutrition. Transplant the plant into new cactus soil, sharply limit watering. Spray on the sheet with Epin ("Zircon", "Domotsve-tom") — 2 drops on a glass of water. If you do not adjust the watering, the flower will die.
Dry spots along the leaf at nolina
Overdose of fertilizers or when feeding is combined with watering on a dry coma. Roots get a chemical burn.
Dimples and pits on caudex
Treat the wounds 1-3% copper sulfate and cover with garden varnish, layer flush with the trunk.
