CULTIVATION OF A "SHAME" MIMOSA

A beauty named bashful mimosa lives in the humid tropics of Brazil. It got its name from its bizarre property to respond to any touch.: even from a light breeze, the leaves fold, and the branches go down.

Through 20-30 minutes they straighten again.

The same thing happens with the change of time of day - at night the leaves fold, and in the morning they go back to "working condition". But don't bother the plant's sensitive hairs often., from this it is depleted and may die.

MIMOSA SHAME – EFFECTIVE EXOTIC

In our latitudes, mimosa is grown on a windowsill, and it is referred to as flowering, still decorative leafy specimens.

Flowers, reminiscent of air pompons made of thread, appear on the bush from June to September.

The fruit is taking over from them - flat single-seeded pods (inedible), which open up after maturation. The bush itself reaches a height 30-60 cm.
