AKALIF HAITIAN – CARE AFTER WINTER

This plant with spectacular fluffy inflorescences is popularly called "fox tail". It differs from bristly hair akalifa in smaller shoots and inflorescences. Looks elegant in a hanging planter. I keep the beauty in the light, protected from direct sunlight.

AKALIF AFTER WINTER

The plant overwinters at a temperature +15-18 city, at the lightest window, no drafts. May lose part of the leaves during the winter.

In the spring, I cut off the elongated shoots and root them in the water, and I'm replanting the bush. Young specimens bloom through 2 months. For splendor I plant on 2-3 cuttings in a pot. I use a light substrate, loose, with the addition of sand and humus.

SUMMER SLAMS

Once on a hot day I forgot to water the plant, and foliage, Alas, withered. But it was worth moistening the soil, how after a while the leaves became elastic again. To avoid being attacked by a spider mite, I spray the bush every day. From spring to autumn I feed 1-2 once a month infusion of mullein (1:10).
