How to restore lycast (Lycaste Goldberg)?

THE LYCAST FLOWER AND HOW I TAKEN IT FOR IT FOR BLOSSOMING

LIKASTA LANDING AND CARE

LIKASTA – PHOTO

I share the joy of the first flowering of one of my likast (Lycaste) ! But two years ago I bought at a discount a "crouton" of two bulbs practically without roots. Tried to go out, and so, what happened.

LIKASTA: CONDITIONS AND CARE

In the planting substrate from coco soil added a little small orchid, a little perlite and fertilizer "Osmokot". Put the plant on the southeast window. Watered little by little along the edge of the pot. To my surprise, the orchid quickly responded to leaving: "Inflated" the dried potatoes, and after a couple of months it released a new growth, which turned into a large bulb over the season. To protect the plant from pests during adaptation, preventive treatments once a quarter with complex preparations helped.

THE JOY OF BLOSSOMING

This year from the new bulb appeared immediately 3 growth, one of which seemed strange to me for its elongated shape and direction. Unlike the other two, he went down at a steep angle so, that I had to cut the edge of the pot, to let it develop further. After a couple of weeks it became obvious, what is this peduncle. I decided not to change anything in leaving, continuing to water the plant 2-3 once a week. For a month, the peduncle changed direction, climbed up and opened a beautiful flower with a light fruity dried apricot aroma.

WHAT KIND OF LICASTS?

To find out the name of the beauty, turned to orkhovedov in various forums. Agreed, what is it Lycaste Goldberg. Now I look forward to the flowering of her other relatives from my collection..
