It is worth slightly disturbing the plant or picking a leaf, and the house will be filled with the captivating smell of room mint - plectrantus, or, as it is also called, spores.

PLEKTRANTUS – CARE

Plectrantus loves partial shade. If the plant is exposed to direct sunlight, then its growth slows down, and the leaves start to turn yellow. The flower does not tolerate heat, feels more comfortable at temperature + 18-25 city. Prefers loose soil (I grow in black soil from the garden). For growing a plant, peat-based soil, which dries quickly, not using. I pour it with settled water at room temperature. In the summer, I spill the soil in the pot with a weak solution of potassium permanganate to prevent fungal diseases.

PLEKTRANTHUS AROMA ENCHANTS AND SCARES

I do not feed the plectrantus with anything, because I add it to tea. One leaf is enough, so that the drink has a pleasant aroma and refreshing taste. This tea is relaxing, soothes, improves mood and helps to sleep well. Plectrantus also helped me get rid of moths, which does not tolerate its smell. She laid out not only leaves on the shelves of the cabinet, but also cut branches of the plant.

I'm getting rid of flowers

In summer, adult bushes appear white, blue or purple flowers, collected in spike-shaped inflorescences, like Coleus. If you don't cut them off, then the fruits will be tied. This whole process weakens the bush., so I crop the flower arrows.

REPRODUCING PLEKTRANTHUS WITH CUTRINGS

In spring and summer, I cut or gently break off the plectrantus branches and put them in the water. After the roots appear, I plant them in pots with earth.
