- Hard to say, for what reasons succisella did not spread in the gardens of the middle lane, because this plant has a lot of advantages. She is not meant to be a soloist, but it is indispensable for combining composition, giving integrity to a flower garden in a natural style. In informal areas of the garden, it goes well with ornamental grasses and large-leaved hosts..

Succisella – relative of scabiosa

She cannot be called exotic - she, like her cousin scabiosa, belongs to the Vorsyankovye family. Quite widespread in many parts of North America and Europe ( Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus). In nature, succisella is bent (Succisella lowered) grows well on weakly calcareous, fresh and moist soils, in full sun, forms large clumps in peaty meadows.

She needs the same conditions in the garden.. Succisella is a graceful, spreading plant with pearl-lilac fluffy ball-shaped flowers, resembling large pearls.

Obviously, thanks to them, succisella variety received name Matt pearl (Frosted Pearl). The buds are painted in a pale pink color when they appear., as they mature, they turn white with a slight shade of lilac-blue. Countless heads appear continuously on stems from July to September, rising above the rosettes of narrow green leaves to a height of 70 cm.

Succisella – reproduction, care

"Pearls" are propagated by dividing the rhizomes in spring and September. You can also seeds, sowing them in the spring directly into the ground or in April - for seedlings. So that the succisella curtains that have grown during the season do not fall apart without a garter, plant it between bushes, who will support the plant. You do not need to prune it during the growing season.. Only wilted inflorescences are subject to removal., if they spoil the appearance of the composition.

Having planted succiszella in his garden, you will get not only a harmoniously organized community of plants, but also a paradise for butterflies and bees, collecting nectar. Succisella has no serious problems with insects or diseases., no specific agricultural technology is required for its cultivation.

ON A NOTE

The plant has medicinal properties and is widely used, in particular, in Germany for the manufacture of homeopathic medicines, prescribed for diseases of the throat and lungs, genitourinary system and gastrointestinal tract.
