CHERVETS ON A HOME FICUS
Some time after changing the place of the ficus on the lower surface of the leaves in the place, where they are attached to the petiole, white growths appeared, like frozen droplets of wax. What could it be?

This mealybug is a small insect with an elongated body., covered with a white powdery bloom. After a while, sweet discharge will appear., where a sooty mushroom will settle (black plaque will be visible). Worms suck juice from young shoots, leaves, buttons, what delays the growth and development of plants. For prevention, you should regularly inspect the collection., wash the leaves. This pest does not like a humid environment.. It is also resistant to temperatures from – 5 city, to +40 city.
TREATMENT OF FICUS FROM THE WORM
While there is a little cottony coating, remove it with a swab, moistened with water (you can add a little alcohol) with soap. Then treat the plant 3 times at intervals 5-6 days one of the folk remedies:
- decoction of yarrow (80 g of dry raw materials per 1 l of water) ;
- solution 1-2 st.l.. any oil (machine, vegetable or others.) in 1 l of water;
- alcohol spray solution (10-15 ml of alcohol per 1 l of water + shavings of laundry soap for adhesion) ;
- infusion of garlic (1-2 grind heads, add 0, 5 l hot water, insist 4-5 hours, strain).
If you hesitate and the number of pests will increase, you will have to take the ficus out into the open air and treat it with one of the preparations: "Aktara", Biotlin, Calypso, "Confidant", "Confidor", "Mospilan", "Tanrek", Fitoverm (dosage according to instructions).

Many growers complain: as soon as ficuses are brought into the house after summer "holidays" in the fresh air, leaf fall begins. So it used to be with me. To avoid falling leaves, you need to create conditions for the plants for acclimatization at first, similar to street.
I bring my collection into the room before turning on the heating, so that there is no sharp temperature drop. I pretreat it a couple of times with Fitoverm with the addition of an immunostimulant ("Epinephrine" or "Zircon") to eliminate possible pests. In the house, ficuses must be placed closer to the light source., and better - to finish. I rarely feed in winter - about once a month with watering - a universal fertilizer for indoor flowers or mixtures for decorative leaf species.

Уже «знакома» с белокрылкой и трипсами, а недавно на листьях лимона появился не похожий на следы деятельности этих вредителей белый налет. Подруга сказала, что на растении — мучнистый червец. Как с ним бороться?
Сдержать распространение мучнистого червеца легче, чем летающих белокрылки и трипсов. Его мужские особи тоже имеют крылья, но не откладывают яйца, поэтому быстро заселить отдаленно стоящие растения не в состоянии.
Самки откладывают яйца в пазухах листьев и на их нижней стороне вдоль жилок, в междоузлиях, трещинах коры и корней. Чем выше температура и ниже влажность воздуха в помещении, тем быстрее идет развитие.
Если растений много и изолировать «пострадавшего» проблематично, размещаю его на расстоянии не менее 2-3 м от «соседей». Ставлю так, чтобы не задевать ветви и случайно не перенести на себе вредителей на здоровые экземпляры.
Борюсь с червецом, как с трипсом и белокрылкой, — препаратом «Актара»: 1,4 d on 1,5 l of water. Обрабатываю 3-4 times (последний — контрольный). В жару интервал между обработками — 5 days, при нормальной комнатной температуре — 7, в холодное межсезонье, при выключенных батареях — 10. После любых манипуляций с поврежденным растением тщательно мою руки и инвентарь, чтобы не заразить другие цветы.
