Houseplants and indoor flowers care calendar: February March

Check the status sinning (gloxinia) and other tuberous plants, at rest. If the tubers are shriveled, became soft, moisten the substrate.

You can proceed to cuttings pelargonium zonal. Young shoots with a heel form the best roots (a piece of old stem). Pinch the growth point and put the cuttings in a glass jar, half filled with water.

For breeding Saintpaulia cut off well-developed leaves and plant in a peat and sand substrate (1:1). Don't forget to shade. Content temperature - +20 city. Moisten the soil moderately, to avoid rotting cuttings. They take root for 3-4 weeks.

Gluey yellow traps attract whitefly too, therefore effective in the early stages of pest damage. Besides, tobacco infusions help a lot, pyrethrum; chemicals: Aktellik, "Verticillin", "Confidor", "Mospilan", "Fufanon".

If a scabbard appears on the plants, treat them with a soapy alcohol solution. To prevent the spread of the pest, regularly remove heavily damaged plant parts and wash the leaves with warm water.

Maintain leaf hygiene: systematically wipe off dust with a damp cloth, and from pubescent (in phytonutrients, Saintpaulia, ginur) blow off or remove with a brush. Spray decorative deciduous specimens with soft, settled water more often. Epipremnum golden, sansevieria, bromeliads love shower.

With the increase in daylight hours, begin to water gently and little by little cacti and other succulents, which in winter did practically without watering.
